Richard "Dick" Glander began his career as a truck driver for Greer Oil in his very early years. He then began working with asphalt and knew from that very moment he wanted something more.
In 1957, Richard Glander established what is now known as Glander Paving Co. Richard grew the then small paving company from its humble beginnings with just a few employees, into today's current corporation status.
Due to Richard's hard work, ethic, honesty, integrity, and vision, today Glander Paving Co. is an industry leader in commercial and industrial paving - both in the public and private sectors.

"Good employees at Glander – I have not had the opportunity of using Glander, but my local Jewel store on Ashland Avenue did! They chose Glander for the resurfacing of their parking lot on July 20, 2011. My friend who is blind was trying to walk to Jewel, but there were cones and barriers in her way that could be hazardous and confusing. An employee named Oscar ran over to help her to be sure she got in and out of the store safely. Thank you, Oscar!!!"
